Terms of Service

The rules for reading, sharing and citing navigationinf.info. In short: read freely, quote fairly, credit the newsroom, and treat everything here as reporting — not as advice for a decision on its own.

What these terms cover

These terms govern your use of navigationinf.info. By accessing the site you agree to them. They set out what you can do with our reporting, what we promise about accuracy, how we handle material you send us, and what happens when something goes wrong. They also explain the law that applies and how to reach us with a question.

The site is operated by the publisher of NavigationInf, based at Office 402, Al Thuraya Tower 1, Dubai Media City, P.O. Box 500001, Dubai, UAE. Where these terms use the words “we”, “us” or “the site”, they mean that publisher and this website.

Use of the site

You may read, share and link to our content for personal and professional use. Quoting a passage in a newsletter, a report or a class is fine. What is not fine is scraping the site at a volume that slows it down for other readers, attempting to bypass access controls, or presenting our content as your own work.

Automated access should respect published crawler conventions, including robots directives and reasonable request rates. If you are building an index, a research dataset or a monitoring tool and you need something more than occasional automated access, write to us first at info@navigationinf.info and we will tell you what is workable.

Editorial content

News reports, analysis and commentary on this site are provided for general information. They are not professional, financial, legal or safety advice, and they should not be relied on as the sole basis for a decision affecting property, operations or finances.

Where we report market movements or official statements, we attribute them to their sources. Our reporting covers roads, navigation systems, transport policy and mobility rollouts across the Emirates and the wider Gulf, and it changes as those programmes change. Figures, timelines and programme details are those published by the responsible authorities at the time of writing.

Corrections and developing stories

Accuracy and corrections

We work to keep reporting accurate and we correct errors when they are identified. The corrections process is set out on the Editorial Standards page. We do not warrant that every item is free of error at all times, and developing stories may change as new information is published.

If you spot something that reads wrong — a road name, a date, a figure that does not match the source you are holding — send it to the editorial desk through the Contact page. Include the article and what you believe the correct detail to be. Corrections are published on the article itself where the change is material.

Our corrections and sourcing process

User submissions

If you send a tip, correction request or other material, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it is not unlawful. You grant us permission to use the substance of the submission in our reporting. We may contact you for verification before anything is published.

We do not guarantee that a submission will be published, and sending one does not create a commission, a contract or a payment obligation. If we need to protect a source, we will discuss how the material is attributed before publication rather than after.

Intellectual property

The site’s text, layout and original graphics are protected by applicable intellectual property rules. Quoting short extracts with attribution and a link back to the article is permitted and welcome.

Republishing substantial portions requires written permission from the editorial desk. That includes wholesale reproduction in another publication, in a paid newsletter, or inside a commercial product. Requests go to the editorial desk by email or post; we respond to those enquiries during working hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Third-party links

The site links to external sources, including the outlets and authorities we credit. We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of those sites. Following an external link means the destination’s terms apply from that point on, and their privacy policy governs what they collect.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available and functioning but do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical failure or events outside our control may interrupt service. Features may be changed or withdrawn as the site develops.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update printed above. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the United Arab Emirates. Questions about them can be sent to the editorial desk via the Contact page, by post to the Dubai Media City address above, or by telephone on +971 4 391 2244 during working hours.

Common questions

Questions readers send us about these terms

Can I quote a NavigationInf article in my own work?

Yes, if you attribute the reporting and link back to the article. Short extracts used in a newsletter, a briefing, a report or teaching material fall inside that. Republishing a substantial part of an article — most of the text, a whole section, or an entire piece — needs written permission from the editorial desk first.

Does my tip get published with my name?

Only if you agree to that in advance. When you send a tip, correction request or other material, we may contact you to verify the details, and we will discuss how the material is attributed before anything is published. Publication is never guaranteed.

Can I rely on your reporting to make a decision about my property or operations?

You should not treat the site as the sole basis for a decision affecting property, operations or finances. Our items are general reporting, not professional advice, and developing stories can change as new information is published. Use the site alongside the official sources it credits.

How do I report a mistake in an article?

Send it to the editorial desk through the Contact page. Name the article and the detail you believe is wrong, and include the source you are comparing it against where you have one. Corrections are published on the article itself where the change is material.

What changes if these terms are updated?

The current version always sits on this page, with the last-updated date printed at the top. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms. If something material changes, we will make that clear here rather than quietly editing a paragraph.

Reaching the newsroom

One desk handles terms, corrections and permissions

Questions about these terms, requests to republish our reporting and correction notices all go to the same place. Write to the editorial desk and we will route it to the person who can answer.
